Pokéballs can sometimes play a massive roll in a match, they contain a hidden pokémon that players can unleash upon their enemies. Be careful though because with such a wide array of different pokémon that can appear randomly, not every one of them is entirely helpful, neither to you or your foes...

This pokémon is a hazard to anyone on the playing field. It will stay in the place it was called and start to charge up. After a while it will explode.
With a massive damage ratio, whether your friend or foe you're better off staying well clear of it.
Snorlax

There's no denying that Snorlax is amongst the most useful of pokémon that can be summoned when you're participating in a group battle. Because of its sheer size, using it on a small stage in a crowded area may give you the upper hand.
Snorlax will jump up into the air and after a few seconds, descend with great force upon your opponents, you will however be unharmed. Depending on your health situation, Snorlax may increase in size to give you a small advantage. Sometimes he will appear big and sometimes smaller.
Bellossom

Bellossom will appear on the stage and dance around in a purple haze. Anyone unfortunate enough to get caught in it will be sent to sleep for a random amount of time (excluding yourself of course).
Mew

Although mew doesn't actually bring anything to the game. It is a rare treat to see it float from its bubble and quickly fly off. Seeing this extremely rare Pokémon will earn you a nice shiny 'Mew' Trophy!
